What will you be doing?
We are seeking a Trustee to help lead our Charity Trustee Team. As a small volunteer led charity coming through its first few years, we are looking for our first Vice Chair role to work alongside our current Chair of Trustees - Amber Shotton. Amber has been in place for the past 3 years and currently serving her second term. This new role has been created as part of our Succession planning approach. This role will required energy and capacity to support this small but passionate organisation and network of members. So if you are well organised, a good communicator and listener, this could be the role for you!
What are we looking for?
We are looking for our first Vice Chair of Trustees. We expect the individual to have had past experience of being a Trustee or similar role, however you don’t necessarily need previous experience as a vice chair as we will provide access to training and support.
What difference will you make?
The SIDCN CIO was born out of the SIDCN Facebook group and created as a legal entity to represent its members of Small Charities and to give them voice amongst larger charity sector infrastructure bodies. Our vision is an inclusive world supporting healthier, sustainable and empowered communities around the globe. We support this by connecting, strengthening and championing Small International Development Charities so they are better able to support the communities they serve. We represent and connect thousands of small organisations across the UK and around the world, wishing to offer mutual support and amplify their voice. As a small Volunteer led organisation, this is a great opportunity to work with peers and colleagues to shape our strategy and deliver our mission.
