Role Summary

The role of Trees Data and Execution Specialist is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our agroforestry impact. As part of our team, you will lead data collection, analysis, and visualization efforts to support decision-making within the Agroforestry and Carbon Departments. Your work will involve designing and managing survey tools such as CommCare and Kobo, analyzing program data to meet regional KPIs, and coordinating logistics for field operations, including seedling distribution and nursery management.
You will be responsible for conducting audits on data from vendors and field staff to ensure accuracy, managing outgrower payments, and supporting the adoption of best practices through training and capacity building. The role may also include overseeing centralized nurseries, managing resources, and implementing trials to inform program decisions. If applicable, you will manage junior staff, fostering an inclusive team culture and supporting professional growth.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, experience managing teams, and strong communication abilities. Skills in survey design, data analysis, and visualization are essential, with preferred experience in agroforestry, GIS, or data analysis software like STATA. Knowledge of Google Sheets, Kobo Toolbox, and CommCare is required.
This position is based in Iringa, Tanzania, and is open only to citizens or permanent residents of Tanzania. The contract duration is one year, with an application deadline of December 4, 2025.
