What will you be doing?

The Stephen Dodgson Charitable Trust is looking for a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. Founded in 2015, the Trust supports and celebrates the legacy of British composer Stephen Dodgson by awarding grants to musicians, festivals and arts institutions that perform, promote or build understanding of his music. The Treasurer leads on budgeting, reporting and financial oversight, working with a small, supportive Board and the Trust’s CEO and Chair. This is an important and rewarding opportunity for someone looking to contribute their skills to a very worthwhile musical cause, including helping to reach new audiences and supporting musicians (including those in education and youth music groups), and representing the Trust at concerts, festivals and other Dodgson celebrations. The role is voluntary. See the attached job description for full details.

What are we looking for?

The Trust would welcome someone with:  ✔ Good financial skills and experience ✔ Strong communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and precision ✔ Experience in or interest in the classical music sector and/or the wider arts  ✔ A focused and collaborative approach

What difference will you make?

The Treasurer is at the heart of the Trust, ensuring the Stephen Dodgson Charitable Trust can keep making a difference. By looking after the charity’s finances with care and clarity, the Treasurer helps turn our mission into reality — ensuring Stephen Dodgson’s legacy continues to flourish and that musicians and musical projects receive the support they need to thrive. It’s a role that safeguards not just figures on a page, but the future opportunities and inspiration the Trust brings to the music community.
