Role Summary

We do this through a number of projects and initiatives that seek to identify, engage and significantly support individuals as they seek to solve problems they have experienced in their own communities. We are looking for a detail-oriented Freelance Virtual Learning Assistant to edit and subtitle our recorded training sessions, making them professional, engaging, and accessible. Each session is approximately 2 hours long, and we estimate it will take between 4-6 hours to complete editing and subtitling for each video.
This is a freelance role, in which you will be assigned one or more videos requiring editing and subtitling each month. Edited and subtitled videos are expected to be delivered within one week of assignment.
We aim to match freelancers to specific event series or programmes so they have prior awareness of schedules and themes to ensure consistency and familiarity with the content.
We are open to candidates with a range of experiences. No prior experience is required, as we will provide the necessary training to help you become proficient in the tools and processes needed for this role. What matters most is your attention to detail, organisational skills, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Editing Video Content
- Edit raw training session footage to improve clarity, flow, and engagement.
- Trim unnecessary content while retaining key information.
- Add transitions, titles, and branding elements as needed.
- Subtitling Videos
- Create accurate and synchronised subtitles.
- Proofread and edit subtitles for grammar, spelling, and readability.
- Ensure subtitles are easy to read and do not obstruct visuals.
- Quality Control
- Review final videos for consistency and errors before submission.
- Make revisions based on feedback.
- Communication
- Collaborate with the Learning and Programmes team to understand project goals and requirements.
- Provide regular updates on progress and incorporate feedback promptly.
