What will you be doing?
As our Director of Human Resources, you will:
Provide strategic oversight on all HR matters at Board level Help shape and review people-focused policies including recruitment, safeguarding, diversity, equity and inclusion, wellbeing, and performance Offer expert guidance on HR compliance, employment law, and best practice in a charity setting Support our leadership team in developing a positive, trauma-informed culture Act as a sounding board for sensitive or complex people issues
What are we looking for?
We’re seeking someone with:
Senior HR experience – e.g., as a director, head of HR, or experienced consultant Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR frameworks A passion for people, inclusion, and organisational development The ability to think strategically and contribute constructively at board level DBS Checked Ideally, some awareness of trauma-informed or survivor-centred practices (desirable but not essential)
You don’t need to have trustee experience – we welcome first-time trustees and provide support to help you thrive in the role.
