Volunteer Health & Safety Support Officer

What will you be doing?

DescriptionThe Hub @ Toothill CIC is creating a vibrant community hub where people come together to connect, learn, and thrive. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re seeking a Health & Safety Support Volunteer to work alongside our Health and Safety Officer. In this role, you’ll help us maintain a safe, welcoming, and fully compliant space for all. Responsibilities

Support the implementation of the Health and Safety Policy. Conduct and review risk assessments, monitoring compliance with safety standards. Carry out weekly fire alarm checks and report findings. Advise on safe practices for community events and activities. Help promote a culture of safety awareness among staff, volunteers, and visitors.

What are we looking for?

Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Experience in risk assessments or safety monitoring. Good organisational and communication skills. Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
