What will you be doing?
DescriptionThe Hub @ Toothill CIC is developing a vibrant community space that connects people through arts, culture, learning, and tailored support. To make this possible, we need effective HR systems that ensure our staff and volunteers are supported from day one. We are looking for a volunteer HR Support Officer to help us strengthen our HR administration and processes. You’ll be working with our leadership team to co-create and maintain an HR site on Microsoft SharePoint, keep accurate personnel records, and assist with recruitment and onboarding. You’ll also help draft and implement HR policies, ensuring we meet compliance requirements and uphold best practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HR or admin experience — or someone who wants to build their skills — to make a real difference in how we operate as an organisation. Responsibilities
Maintain the Human Resources site on Microsoft SharePoint. Maintain accurate personnel records and assist with recruitment processes. Support onboarding and induction of new staff and volunteers. Assist with the creation and implementation of HR policies. Provide guidance on compliance matters, including safeguarding and data protection.
What are we looking for?
Experience in HR administration. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and data protection. Ability to proofread and edit policies clearly and accurately. Confident with ICT, ideally Microsoft SharePoint, or transferable skills with a willingness to learn quickly.
What difference will you make?
Your support will help us create clear, reliable HR systems that ensure staff and volunteers feel valued and supported. By building strong organisational foundations, you’ll play a key role in making sure The Hub is a safe, well-run, and welcoming place where the community can thrive.
