Volunteer Trustee with a background in Finance and Accounting

What will you be doing?

This is supervisory role working with the Treasurer and Bookkeeper , ensuring that the charity has systems in place  that work effectively and transparently , so that they are resistant to fraud. So the applicant will have had experience with accounting systems designed specifically for charities, along with the ability to work as a team player when it comes to working with the rest of the Board  

What are we looking for?

The applicant should be experienced in dealing with HMRC and the Charity Commission and in providing financial reports to both. A willingness to work with the Board and contribute to joint decision making in all aspects of the Charity's work should be in evidence.

What difference will you make?

   As a member of the Trustee Board the Finance Trustee advises on financial matters and contributes to their joint decision making. This includes sharing the chair with the others in the monthly board meetings.
