What will you be doing?
Over the years, our work has positively impacted the lives of many; however, recent operational challenges have hindered our ability to effectively achieve our mission. We are now seeking an experienced and dynamic new Board of Trustees to provide strategic leadership, restructure operations, and guide the charity into its next phase of growth and impact. As a Trustee, you will ensure that we uphold our charitable purpose and objectives. Having a strong, reliable, and passionate Board of Trustees is essential for our long-term sustainability. The trustee will provide strategic oversight, ensuring the charity meets its legal, financial, and duty of care responsibilities towards beneficiaries and stakeholders. The trustee will also be responsible for overseeing the objectives of the strategic plan, ensuring that the charity achieves its targets and supporting the team to reach its goals. These are oversight roles and do not involve daily operational responsibilities. We are looking for talented, passionate individuals who understand our vision and can lead in these oversight areas. These roles can be fulfilled from anywhere in the country, as board meetings are held monthly via Skype or Zoom.

Accountancy / Auditing Governance Strategic development and planning General / operations management Project / programme management Advice / Advocacy
We want a mix of skills and experience to ensure efficiency of running the charity. We are hoping to find people who are creative, innovative, who have experience and who can bring new ideas, different experiences and fresh perspectives to the work of the charity. An effective Trustee Board Member will need a range of knowledge, attributes and personal experience to enable them to work towards the aims and objectives of the charity. Trustees should have the following characteristics:
Be eligible and passionate about reaching the unreachable. have good listening, verbal and written communication skills. be non-judgmental and respect views, values and cultures that are different to your own Great independent judgment and strategic vision Experience of international aid work, contextual mission, pioneering would all be a bonus, but not essential.
