Your role in our team:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Account Manager, Global Distributors & APAC tolead and significantly scale bit.bio's indirect commercial channels globally, with a crucial hybrid focus on key accounts within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region (predominantly Japan).
This role is responsible for establishing, managing and driving revenue through a high-performing global network of distribution and channel partners. You will be instrumental in executing the commercial strategy for our portfolio of iPSC-derived cell products for basic research and drug discovery, ensuring accelerated growth in markets where channel partners are essential.
The position will be ideally based at our Cambridge offices with regular travel to directly support distributors in key regions, globally.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Global Distributor Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and lead the global distributor and channel strategy, ensuring it is fully complementary to the direct sales strategy across all regions (EMEA, APAC, LATAM).
- Performance Management: Proactively manage and optimise distributor performance globally, conducting regular, rigorous reviews encompassing:
- Sales pipeline and forecasting accuracy using HubSpot (or equivalent CRM).
- Inventory management and ordering efficiency.
- Goal setting, monitoring, and corrective action planning. - Relationship Building: Cultivate high-level, strategic partnerships with global distributors, ensuring they operate as a seamless and motivated extension of the bit.bio commercial and technical teams.
- Directly support and manage key accounts within the APAC region, driving higher sales velocity and market penetration.

- Will have a minimum BSc (Hons) in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrable commercial experience in international sales or distributor management within the Life Science sector.
- Are organised, detailed-orientated with an excellent command of English, written and verbal.

- Proven track record of managing and growing global distributor networks and ideally with experience of selling cell-based products, biological tools or high-value reagents.
- Solid technical understanding of induced pluripotent cells (iPSCs) and their application in Drug Discovery (Pharma, Biotech, CROs).
- Versed in consultative selling, CRM management (HubSpot or similar), and delivering compelling, technically accurate presentations to diverse scientific audiences.
- Have strong interpersonal skills with high accountability and ability to build trust and motivate international teams.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 60%.

- Fluency in Japanese or other key APAC languages.
- Strong existing network within the APAC life science distribution ecosystem.
