About the position

BlueMark is searching for a London-based Senior Analyst (or potentially an Associate) to support clients as part of our service deliver and customer success teams, and to help drive continued growth of the business, with a focus on Europe- and Asia-based investors.

As a Senior Analyst, you’ll be a core member of project teams that deliver BlueMark’s services to diverse investment firms around the world. As an early stage business with a small and dynamic team, BlueMark is also searching for an individual who is eager and able to contribute across multiple business functions, including business development and/or the ongoing development of our recently launched SaaS platform, BlueMark IQ.

At BlueMark, staff at all levels have direct access to learn from internal leadership and to interact with high-level stakeholders externally. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is passionate about impact investing to gain in-depth industry experience and contribute to the growth of an ambitious startup. 

Responsibilities

Deliver BlueMark’s core impact verification services: Collaborating with a team of impact investment professionals, BlueMark’s analysts are on the front lines of verifying impact management and reporting practices of some of the world’s largest impact investment funds.

As a Senior Analyst, your responsibilities on a given project will typically include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing client materials and synthesizing findings in accordance with BlueMark’s service delivery rubrics
  • Drafting client content and deliverables and participating actively in client meetings, including leading portions of client presentations
  • Supporting project managers to plan and manage client projects, including timelines, scheduling, and assigning responsibilities
  • Coordinating internal and external meetings, client requests and interviews
  • Owning effective documentation for the project, including note-taking, creating interview summaries, and ensuring that project documents stay organized and accessible 

We are also looking for an individual with motivation and potential to work cross-functionally, including one or both of the following functional areas:

BlueMark IQ: Support the ongoing delivery and sales of BlueMark’s impact management and reporting platform for asset allocators, including by: 

  • Onboarding and training new users to the BlueMark IQ platform
  • Supporting BlueMark IQ customers with ongoing impact management and reporting requests 
  • Coordinating with internal product and technical teams to resolve customer issues
  • Supporting sales and marketing requirements of BlueMark IQ platform

Business Development and Marketing: Support the ongoing expansion of BlueMark’s client-base, including by:

  • Taking part in sales calls and communicating BlueMark’s work to prospective clients
  • Supporting proposal development and sales collateral 
  • Representing BlueMark at conferences and other convenings
  • Leading and/or executing targeted marketing and communications efforts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 - 5 yrs of work experience
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Understanding of capital markets, with experience in concepts of sustainable finance and impact investing
  • Strong skills in research and analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexible and self-motivated, with a bias and an interest towards working across multiple functions as part of a small (10-15 person) team in a start-up environment
  • High level of personal and professional integrity
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and self-awareness
  • Able to commute to our London office at least one day a week
  • Open to working flexible hours when needed to accommodate colleagues in the US and/or Asia (we aim to be considerate of our team across all time zones, but some flexibility is needed)
  • Eligible to work in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship
  • Skills that are not required, but may be considered an asset in the hiring process, include --
  • European language skills (especially French or German)
  • Business development or sales experience
  • Experience at a SAAS company and/or supporting development or customer success for a SAAS product
  • Experience at an early-stage startup
