Type: Full time, 12 months fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Salary: Competitive / Hours: 40 p/w

Remote (UK based) - able to travel internationally up to 60%

This Fixed Term Contract (FTC) is to cover a period of maternity leave for up to 12 months, or on return of the substantive postholder, whichever is earlier.

Your role in our team:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Sales, the Senior Strategic Accounts Manager will hold global responsibility for a portfolio of named strategic accounts and will take ownership of expanding bit.bio’s presence across all relevant customer sites globally.

This role is focused on the direct selling of bit.bio’s iPSC-derived cell products and services for research and drug discovery, spanning pharma, biotech, academia, not-for-profit organisations and CROs. You will develop and execute global growth strategies for high-potential accounts, elevating relationships from tactical engagements to long-term strategic partnerships.

With a strong customer-centric mindset, you will provide clear account leadership, drive cross-selling opportunities across bit.bio’s full portfolio of products and services and position bit.bio as a global partner of choice within strategic accounts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning global responsibility for assigned strategic accounts, driving expansion of bit.bio’s footprint and share of customer wallet across all relevant sites.
  • Developing, implementing and executing global Senior Strategic Account strategies that convert accounts from tactical to strategic partnerships.
  • Driving revenue growth for the ioCells business while identifying additional revenue opportunities across the broader portfolio, including CRISPR screens, custom derivatives and new cell type development.
  • Creating and executing cross-selling opportunities across bit.bio’s research products and services portfolio.
  • Proactively managing assigned strategic accounts, including pipeline ownership, forecasting and budgetary input.
  • Identifying, developing and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across strategic accounts from end users to decision-makers and gatekeepers.
  • Accelerating the conversion of contacts into leads and users within strategic accounts, identifying and executing high-revenue opportunities and scalable frameworks.
  • Raising awareness of bit.bio’s brand and offering through active participation in conferences, events and customer engagements.
  • Developing, maintaining and executing a detailed Account Plan for each global strategic account.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure delivery of value-driven & customer-focused solutions.

You…

  • Will have a minimum BSc (Hons) in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Solid technical understanding of induced pluripotent cells (iPSCs) and their application in Drug Discovery.
  • Demonstrable and proven commercial experience in international sales management within the Life Sciences sector (pharma, biotech or related research markets). 
  • Are organised, detailed-orientated with an excellent command of English, written and verbal.

  • Demonstrable and proven strategic or key account management experience within Life Sciences.
  • Managing complex, global customer relationships across multiple sites and geographies.
  • Direct selling of scientific products and services for research and drug discovery applications.
  • Developing and executing global account strategies that deliver sustained revenue growth.
  • Driving cross-selling and portfolio-based selling across products and services.
  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from bench scientists to senior decision-makers.
  • Providing accurate forecasting, pipeline management and commercial input in a global sales environment.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 60%.
