The essence of your role

Support our customer needs and help build an engaged community around our brand and products. You will be responsible for customer service across a range of channels. You may also be asked to support wider marketing tasks, and encourage you to explore projects in areas of interest to you as part of this internship.

Top-level responsibilities

  • Responding to and answering queries related to order issues, most commonly: order delays, missing orders, skipping or pausing a subscription.
  • Responding to and answering questions about the oil, most commonly: levels of polyphenols, organic oils and harvest dates. (i.e. some level of specific Citizens of Soil product related knowledge will be needed, but you will be trained on this)—with the caveat of anything more complex, or UX-related, then the team would of course be here to support.
  • Weekly sweep of Facebook and specific social accounts to respond to comments.
  • Responding to customer reviews and resolving concerns as needed.
  • Collecting customer feedback, insights and data to inform brand decisions.
  • Additional responsibilities could include: storage runs, sample mail sends, website copy support, and supporting in-store tastings.

The Internship

  • Start date: early February
  • End date: 3-6 months; flexible to be discussed with the successful candidate
  • Part time: approximately 16-24h per week, split over 2-3 days, flexible hours.
  • We may require additional hours during busy periods.
  • Rate: £15/ hour
  • Location: Hybrid WFH and London city centre. The more you’re in-person, the more you’ll learn.

Diversity & inclusion:

At Citizens of Soil, our vision is for a more fair, sustainable, and flavourful table. And that starts with our team. We’re cultivating a culture of inclusion because we know we need a diverse team to learn and grow. We embrace your unique contributions and will work to ensure you feel a sense of belonging.

We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
