The HankyFamily is making its first and most important founding hire.

This role is positioned as a co‑founder, co‑pilot, and long‑term partner in a contemporary queer art project with global ambition.

The HankyFamily / HankyCode is a contemporary art system rooted in queer history, identity, and coded expression. Our ambition is to build a culturally credible, commercially viable, and internationally touring exhibition by 2027, supported by grassroots digital revenue and long‑term institutional partnerships.

We are offering meaningful equity (10%) alongside a wage, because we are looking for someone who is invested in building something enduring — not completing a contract.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new cultural IP from the ground up. The scope of this role — and what it can become — is limited only by imagination, commitment, and shared vision.

The Partnership

This is intended to be a true working partnership.

You will: - Help shape the creative, cultural, and public direction of the project - Be trusted with stewardship of queer authenticity and community relevance - Work collaboratively to grow a strong, scalable brand rooted in integrity - Have space to lead, propose, experiment, and evolve the project

We are building something that sits confidently in the contemporary art space, speaks to identity and self‑discovery, and resonates authentically with queer audiences — without dilution or tokenism.

Core Responsibilities

🎨 Creative & Cultural Direction

·      Co‑develop and steward The HankyFamily coding system

·      Assign and manage unique colour identities for each code

·      Work directly with Pantone to secure validated, exact colour profiles

·      Maintain absolute attention to detail — colour integrity is non‑negotiable

📘 Playbook & IP Development

·      Co‑author and evolve the HankyCode Playbook as a living document

·      Capture learnings, refinements, and scaling decisions

·      Protect creative integrity while enabling growth

💰 Grants, Funding & Cultural Tenders

·      Source and support applications for arts, culture, and innovation funding

·      Contribute to funding narratives and tender submissions

·      Help align grant strategy with exhibition planning

🌍 Touring Exhibition Vision (2027)

·      Co‑map a realistic, fundable international touring strategy

·      Align exhibitions with Pride events, galleries, museums, and cultural institutions

·      Balance long‑term vision with near‑term traction

📲 Social, Culture & Grassroots Growth

·      Be genuinely fluent in social and digital culture (especially TikTok)

·      Help build awareness of the HankyFamily coding system

·      Contribute ideas for TikTok Shop as a grassroots revenue engine

·      Understand how movements form — not just how platforms function

What We’re Looking For

·      Deep cultural alignment with queer identity, history, and expression

·      Vision, curiosity, and appetite to build something from first principles

·      Strong visual literacy and sensitivity to colour, symbolism, and meaning

·      Grant, arts, or cultural project experience (or strong aptitude)

·      Comfort with visibility and representing the project publicly

Equity & Commitment

This role includes: - 10% equity in The HankyFamily / HankyCode - A paid working arrangement (structure flexible for the right partner) - Long‑term upside linked to the success of the brand, exhibitions, and IP
