The Role: You will join our Global Travel team, which supports Wellcome’s mission by enabling safe and efficient travel for staff and external partners to meet and advance our organizational goals. This team also manages Wellcome’s partnership with The Woodland Trust to offset emissions from our business travel.
As a Global Travel Officer, your responsibilities will include collaborating with travelers and internal organizers to provide travel information and services, maintaining duty of care, and promoting safe travel practices. You will manage travel bookings, including complex itineraries and the necessary documentation such as visas and passports, through the GDS and other suppliers. Additionally, you will handle financial processes like invoice payments and ensure compliance with Wellcome’s policies.
Job Requirements: Candidates should have strong communication and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively. Experience in the travel industry and proficiency in using GDS for travel bookings are essential. Familiarity with accounting and procurement software such as Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and tools like SharePoint and MS Teams is also required.
