Role Summary

  • Manage and lead the Global Travel Team to ensure effective travel services.
  • Maintain duty of care and promote safe travel practices.
  • Conduct travel-related risk assessments and participate in Travel Emergency Group activities.
  • Manage relationships with travel suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure quality service delivery by liaising with stakeholders.

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the travel industry with expertise in Galileo, Amadeus GDS interfaces, Traveldoo, and Evolvi.
  • Proven skills in team coordination and motivation.
  • Competencies in negotiation, communication, quick decision-making, and financial management.

The role: As a Global Travel Team Manager, you will lead the Travel Team at Wellcome, ensuring efficient and effective travel support services. Your responsibilities include managing the team to provide user-friendly travel services, maintaining duty of care, ensuring value for money, and promoting safe travel practices. You will also manage travel-related risk assessments, participate in the Travel Emergency Group, and support crisis management. Additionally, you will maintain relationships with travel suppliers, negotiate contracts, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the travel industry with expertise in using Galileo, Amadeus GDS interfaces, Traveldoo, and Evolvi. You should have a proven track record in coordinating and motivating teams, with competencies in change and project management. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to make quick decisions and manage financials effectively.
