The Employee Experience Project is a flourishing culture consultancy firm that aims to revolutionize the way organisations perform and evolve. Our approach is rooted in an evidence-based model, transcending beyond superficial engagement and values to diagnose core drivers of performance challenges. Unlike conventional methods, we focus on empowering organisations with the tools needed to instigate change themselves.

Role Summary:

  • Lead and participate in comprehensive client delivery, from diagnosis to activation.
  • Translate complex cultural and organisation data into digestible insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Support and enhance strong client relationships, acting as a reliable partner.
  • Balance in-depth consultant thinking with practical and result-oriented delivery.
  • Contribute to business development through client expansion, thought leadership, partnerships, or propositions.
  • Help shape and enhance our delivery systems, processes, and tools.
  • Play an active role in evolving our content, frameworks, and community work.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience as a consultant or strong in-house exposure looking to transition into a consultancy.
  • A strong background in psychology, organisational development, research or data-driven diagnosis.
  • Confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders and managing complex organisational dynamics.
  • Systems-thinking mindset and a curiosity about how organisations function.
  • Ability to seamlessly transition between strategic thinking and practical execution.
  • A genuine passion in developing others instead of positioning oneself as the sole expert.

Small, mighty, and growing fast, The Employee Experience Project is a culture consultancy with a difference. We know everyone says that, but our work genuinely is different.

We are an evidence-led culture and performance consultancy, operating at the intersection of psychology, systems thinking, behavioural economics and organisational strategy. Our work goes far beyond engagement scores and values posters. We help organisations understand what is really driving performance, identify root causes, and activate capability across the business to create sustained cultural and operational change.

We don’t do culture like others do.

Our fully validated, evidence-based model enables us to move beyond symptoms and surface-level sentiment to:

  • Diagnose systemic and behavioural drivers of performance challenges
  • Understand culture in its real business context
  • Create targeted, practical insight that leaders and teams can actually act on

We are intentionally focused on capability activation. We don’t create dependency on consultants. We equip organisations with the insight, structures, evaluation frameworks and practical tools they need to activate change themselves, at every level of the business.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and contributing to end-to-end client delivery, from diagnosis through to activation.
  • Translating complex cultural and organisational data into clear, compelling insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting and developing strong client relationships, acting as a trusted partner.
  • Balancing depth of consultancy thinking with pragmatic, action-oriented delivery.
  • Contributing to business development, whether through client expansion, thought leadership, partnerships or propositions.
  • Helping shape and improve our delivery systems, processes and tools.
  • Playing a visible role in the evolution of our content, frameworks and community work.

What we’re looking for

You might be:

✅ An experienced consultant ready to step into a more senior, shaping role

✅ Or someone with strong in-house experience looking to bring that depth into consultancy.

You’ll likely have:

✅ A strong grounding in psychology, organisational development, research or data-led diagnosis.

✅ Confidence working with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organisational dynamics.

✅ A systems-thinking mindset and curiosity about how organisations really work.

✅ The ability to move fluidly between strategic thinking and practical execution.

✅ A genuine interest in building capability in others, not positioning yourself as the expert with all the answers.

We care far less about a specific career path and far more about how you think, how you work, and how you show up.

How it feels to work with us

We are intentional about creating a business that supports great work and great lives.

We will:

  • See you as a whole person, not just a role
  • Shape the role with you, using job crafting to play to your strengths
  • Support you to build your personal brand, voice and expertise
  • Give you real ownership and influence from early on
  • Move you quickly into meaningful client responsibility while supporting your development
  • Create space for pride in your impact, not just busyness

This is not a “sit at your laptop all day” role. While we work flexibly and remotely, we spend time with clients on site, nationally, building relationships and understanding their context. We also prioritise regular co-working, learning and reflection together.
