Role Summary:

  • Carrying out research and conducting interviews
  • Understands the client’s environment and develops strategies.
  • Analyzes the competition and identifies opportunities
  • Stays updated with new behaviours and tools
  • Generates data-informed actionable insights

  • Sets measurable KPIs
  • Writes case studies and awards entries

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of agency experience in strategy/account planning
  • Deep understanding of social media
  • Experience with financial services brands is preferable
  • Understanding of strategy and insight frameworks
  • Experience in conducting detailed research and developing insights
  • Deck writing and presentation skills
  • Adherence to the company's values.

Strategist

NEW YORK CITY, USA (Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office per week) 

A benchmarked salary between $95,000 to $105,000 based on your level within our progression framework.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.

You’ll play a key role at the start of a client’s journey with Born Social. You’ll pore over the brief, dissect the problem and identify the opportunity - creating a social strategy with effectiveness right at its core. You’ll then be responsible for working with the Account Team, ensuring it gets delivered as intended.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Conducting research, interviews, brainstorming sessions and workshops

  • Developing a clear understanding of client’s business environment and strategy

  • Performing competitive analysis, identifying opportunities in the landscape

  • Keeping in tune with new behaviours, platforms, tools that are changing the landscape

  • Generating strong actionable insights informed by data

  • Pitching and presenting, at both new business stage and project delivery

  • Setting robust KPIs to measure effectiveness of the strategy

  • Writing case studies and awards entries, proving effectiveness of our work

  • New business & growth:contributing to the winning new business through pitches and proposals, leading on the strategic direction. Developing Born Social’s industry profile in the US through talks and presentations, blogs, webinars, etc.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • You've got at least 2 years agency experience in a strategy or account planning role

  • You have a deep understanding of social media and how it can be harnessed for a variety of businesses

  • Ideally, you've worked with financial services brands previously and have a good understanding of the industry sector

  • You have a in-depth understanding of various strategy and insight frameworks

  • You've got track record of conducting in-depth research and developing actionable insights

  • You've got solid deck writing and presentation skills

Standard working hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it will also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
