Role Summary
- Join the Gardens Temperate Collections Section and manage a range of popular areas.
- Primary work location will be the Woodland Garden, Victoria Gate, Palm House Pond, Salvia Border and Rose Garden Team.
- Ensure the world-class displays are maintained at high quality, as they form critical parts of Kew's heritage landscape and visitor appeal.
Role Requirements
- Horticultural qualifications equivalent to or surpassing a NVQ level 2.
- Experience in ornamental horticulture and plant care, specifically with various woody and herbaceous plants, hedging, and turf.
- Capability to operate machinery and proven experience executing horticultural techniques in collaborative settings.

The role: We are looking for a talented Botanical Horticulturist to join the Gardens Temperate Collections Section which covers a range of high-profile areas. The position is in the Woodland Garden, Victoria Gate, Palm House Pond, Salvia Border and Rose Garden Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the world class collections. These displays are important components of Kew’s living heritage landscape and visitor offer, and it is critical that they are kept to a high standard.
Job requirements: The successful candidate will have a Horticultural qualification equivalent to NVQ level 2 or above, experience of working in ornamental horticulture, caring for a range of woody and herbaceous plants, hedging and turf, use of machinery and proven experience and understanding of carrying out horticultural techniques in a team environment.
