Software Engineering Intern

At Runna, we are dedicated to becoming the leading global training platform for runners. We have recently been acquired by Strava, which has accelerated our growth and impact in the fitness technology sector. Our team is expanding rapidly, and we are on the lookout for innovative and driven individuals to join us.

The role: As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be an integral part of our App Team. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to develop and launch high-quality features. Your responsibilities will include architecting, building, testing, and delivering new features across the full stack. You will also contribute to the efficiency of our operations by developing and maintaining our developer tooling and CI/CD pipeline. This internship offers a flexible duration of 7 to 12 weeks, accommodating pre-existing commitments.

Job requirements: We encourage applications from candidates who are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, or have equivalent experience. You should have experience programming with TypeScript/JavaScript and a solid understanding of computing fundamentals. We value fast learners who are enthusiastic about our iterative development processes and collaborative work environment. Bonus skills include an interest in health/fitness technologies, understanding of deployment and release cycles, and experience with AWS or other cloud computing platforms.

Benefits: The internship offers a prorated salary of £42.5K, flexible working arrangements with three days a week from our office in Vauxhall, and 10 days of flexible holiday. We also provide socials and bi-weekly team activities.
