St Paul’s is a selective Independent Day School for boys aged 13-18, occupying a superb 45-acre site on the south bank of the Thames, west of Hammersmith Bridge. St Paul’s School excels academically at both A level and GCSE, with some of the highest national scores, but it is the work beyond the curriculum that excites both students and teachers alike.

Teacher of Economics

Commencing September 2026 

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring Teacher of Economics to join our outstanding and highly successful Economics department, which offers a two-year linear Pearson Edexcel A-Level course. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for engaging pupils, and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the School. The collaborative department offers excellent professional development, extensive resources, and a strong focus on wellbeing. Economics is a highly popular subject with exceptional results and a rich programme of enrichment and university preparation.

This post could suit a wide variety of candidates with a strong academic background: from recent graduates, post-graduates or post-doctoral researchers looking to move into teaching, to novice teachers looking to develop, to experienced teachers looking for a rewarding classroom experience. The department is a thriving, supportive and collaborative team of professionals who constantly look to improve pedagogy and our pupils’ experiences.
