ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of the Head of Creative is to lead the internal creative agency that services marketing, commercial (retail, ecom and wholesale) and the product team (Icons, slogans, packaging etc..). This is a leadership role – and oversees a broad output across imagery, video, podcasts, product copy and editorial content, across multiple languages and regions. This role is responsible for ensuring that the brand shows up cohesively across all channels – and that we have the assets required to run and market the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide the entire creative department to deliver our collective company goals through exceptional copy, imagery, video, and other creative endeavours.
- Deliver strategies that are insight and data-led, but creatively inspired, that drive real results
- Coach the team in behaviours which align with the company vision, strategy, and values.
- Develop strong relationships with all departments and be a role model for excellent communication skills.
- Partner closely with the CMO around strategic problems that arise and help create solutions to these.
- Monitor and drive diversity and inclusion training throughout the team.
- Monitor and drive social and environmental impact targets and training throughout the team.
- Ensure all team members have structured performance reviews and development plans with clear objectives aligned with the department’s strategy.
- Build the department’s succession plan, facilitate team members in owning their career progression and personal development potential within the department, across the business and externally.
Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FINISTERRE
- 10+ experience at senior management level within a multi-channel, multi-site, clothing retail business.
- A consummate creative and marketing professional, commercially astute with strong industry awareness. You understand how all the various elements of marketing work together to drive the business — you understand and value the full remit of our creative – from the glamourous Brand work to the repetitive detail of a PDP. You understand and appreciate it all.
- Proven track record of delivering against all aspects of Creative strategy and KPIs in a similar business.
- Understand how to work with creatives – getting the best from them, whilst balancing this with the scale of the business. We are a lean, exciting scale up that requires energy and practical problem solving.
- Experience with global expansion, including translation and localisation.
- Proven ability to train, mentor and coach teams to develop skills, behaviours and strength of succession plan.
- Passion, energy and aspiration in line with Finisterre values, products, brand and customers
- Excellent self-awareness, communication, networking and interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, creative, resilient and entirely flexible: thrives on positive change
