About the role
As the Dispatch Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting our Ecommerce Dispatch Team day‑to‑day. You’ll have a clear overview of the team’s performance, helping them meet targets around fulfilment accuracy, error reduction, and timely dispatch. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll lead by example - working alongside the team on the ground, offering support, and helping to keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll do
Lead and support the Dispatch Team throughout the day, providing guidance on queries, requests, and ad‑hoc issues.
Escalate complex or critical situations to the Dispatch Manager as required.
Ensure all orders are completed accurately and dispatched by end of day with minimal packing errors.
Actively participate in packing and distribution tasks, setting a strong example of high‑quality work and teamwork.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and support the onboarding of new starters, including work inductions and site tours.

What you'll bring
Proven experience leading or supervising a team within a similar operational environment, such as a production line, warehouse, dispatch centre, or operations facility
First Aid at Work qualified
Fire Safety at Work qualified
1–3 years’ experience working in warehouse or operational logistics, ideally within the food & beverage industry or a similarly fast‑moving environment
Comfortable using warehouse management systems, digital picking/packing tools, and operational reporting platforms
Strong communication skills, with the ability to give clear instructions, coach team members, and escalate challenges where necessary
What success looks like
A measurable reduction in packing errors across all order types, achieved through strong leadership, coaching, and quality checks
Improved organisation and time management within the team, ensuring all daily orders are completed before end‑of‑day deadlines, even during peak periods
Meeting or exceeding daily packing KPIs set by the Head of Operations, with clear reporting and visibility of team performance
A cohesive, motivated team who feel supported, informed, and confident in their roles
