Land Development Manager (Spain)

Rivan Industries is a vertically integrated synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries you can’t electrify. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping CO2 locked underground. We’re looking for a Land Manager to accelerate our origination strategy and grow our renewable Spanish energy pipeline. We’re looking for someone who can both work with land agents, and self source land opportunities for our solar and synthetic fuel energy parks. The candidate should be able to lead site selection strategies and framework agreements with land agents, and with a deep understanding of the energy market to negotiate land access agreements in line with project requirements. This role will be predominantly focused on Spain, but will also include close alignment with our colleagues in the UK and Portugal to share resources and help our wider origination strategy. The role includes identifying, analysing, and evaluating potential sites for renewable energy projects, meeting with landowners and their agents to discuss land access agreements, negotiating and securing Heads of Terms and subsequent Option Agreements for development sites, and collaborating throughout the land acquisition process to de-risk agreements.
