ARC Club is at a defining growth stage, and we're hiring a Head of Finance to build the financial backbone that takes us into our next chapter. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who wants to professionalise a finance function from the ground up - bringing the rigour, visibility and control that growth-stage businesses need, while staying close enough to the detail to actually own the numbers.

You'll lead ARC's finance pillar as a peer to the Head of Club Operations, Head of Club Sales and Head of Product, and partner directly with the CEO (and our Co-Founder & Executive Director on her return from maternity leave in April 2027) on the financial decisions that shape what ARC becomes. There is a defined promotion pathway to Finance Director, triggered by reaching 8+ live clubs or a Series A event - with the title, scope and salary reviewed at that point.

What you'll own

Six areas sit under this role. Each one matters, and together they form a complete finance function.

Financial leadership & strategy. You'll lead the finance pillar, professionalise the function, and build infrastructure that scales - clean processes, integrated systems, audit-readiness. You'll be the senior finance voice with the CEO and Board, partner on capital allocation and unit economics, and own the relationships with our external finance partners.

Cashflow & treasury. The most critical financial discipline at this stage. You'll own ARC's cash position, build and maintain a 13-week cashflow forecast, actively manage working capital, and keep the founders ahead of any pressure points. No cash surprises.

Investor relations & fundraising support. You'll produce the investor-facing numbers - monthly updates, KPI dashboards, unit economics, the financial narrative behind them. You'll build the models and data rooms that support fundraising, lead diligence preparation, and act as the senior finance voice in investor conversations alongside the CEO.

Budgeting, forecasting & reporting. You'll co-own the Group budget with the CEO, run rolling forecasts, investigate variances, and deliver clean, timely reporting to founders, Board and landlords on a cadence they can rely on without chasing.

Financial operations & controls. The day-to-day: invoicing, payroll, expenses, payments, financial controls, and the systems that run them - Xero, banking integrations etc. You'll ensure data integrity and that information flows accurately between platforms.

Commercial infrastructure (P&L lens). You'll hold accountability for ARC's fixed costs across the business - your primary lever into EBITDA performance. That includes owning insurance procurement, SaaS and subscription management, the finance system integration stack, and supplier contract management. You'll surface savings, consolidate suppliers, and flag spend creep before it becomes a problem.

You'll also lead the financial mobilisation of every new Club - setting up bank accounts, Xero and integrations so each site launches with its financial infrastructure operational from day one.

What we're looking for

A senior finance leader who has built or professionalised a finance function in a growth-stage business before. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred. You'll bring:

  • Hands-on cashflow and treasury expertise - comfortable owning the cash position at this stage of growth.
  • A track record producing investor-facing numbers and supporting fundraising - modelling, due diligence, investor updates.
  • Strong commercial instincts - you understand unit economics, margins, and what drives value in a multi-site business.
  • The ability to translate financial detail into clear decisions for non-financial founders, Board members and investors.
  • Comfort across the full spectrum: strategic conversations with the CEO one hour, deep-dive variance analysis the next, hands-on systems work the hour after.
  • Tech-stack awareness - you have a deep understanding of Xero, with Pleo, Dext, OfficeRnD and HubSpot and similar platform integrations a bonus, with a sharp view on data integrity.
  • A builder's mindset - resourceful, structured, and motivated by establishing strong foundations rather than maintaining inherited ones.

The details

  • Reports to: CEO
  • Location: London, with flexibility - regular presence required for founder collaboration and Board reporting
  • Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, flexible working available
  • Compensation: £75,000 FTE, with a defined Finance Director pathway
  • Equity: EMI Share Options, confirmed at hire
  • Start date: September 2026

If you've been waiting for the role where you get to build the function rather than inherit it - and you want a seat at the table while you do it - we'd love to hear from you.
