The Credit Risk team is a second line team within the Risk & Compliance function. Our aim is to provide oversight of Credit Risk across the full customer lifecycle and across the entire suite of Bank products. Reporting to the Credit Risk Analytics Manager, the Senior Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for analytics across the wider Credit Risk team, supporting full customer lifecycle oversight across Personal Loans, Motor Finance, 1st and 2nd Charge Mortgages and Green Lending. As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst at Tandem your focus will be on: Designing, reviewing and optimising applications credit risk strategies, including policy rules, scorecard cut-offs and affordability decisioning. Managing the ongoing performance of application scorecards, identifying emerging risk, performance drift or opportunities to improve risk-return outcomes. Supporting the development, enhancement and implementation of new scorecards and segmentation approaches in partnership with Credit Analytics and Model Risk teams. Producing clear, decision-focused MI and analysis covering application volumes, approval rates, risk performance and strategy impacts. Delivering insight and recommendations to senior management and Credit Committees, contributing to strategy papers and governance submissions. Leading or supporting the deployment of credit strategy changes into live decisioning environments, ensuring changes are well-controlled and appropriately governed. Monitoring post-deployment outcomes to confirm strategies perform in line with expectations and the Bank’s risk appetite. Working closely with Product, Underwriting, Technology and Operations to support new product launches, policy changes and strategic initiatives. Helping to continuously improve credit strategy frameworks, documentation and controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
