The Marketing Assistant is responsible for the scheduling, uploading, and logistics that keep the marketing team running smoothly, freeing up senior team members to focus on strategy and content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and publish approved social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn in line with the content plan.
- Upload approved copy and assets to the website, accurately and on time.
- Monitor social media channels for comments and messages, highlighting them to the marketing team for replies and escalating as appropriate.
- Coordinate the production of print materials, liaising with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Work with the Marketing Executive and other teams to collate and format travel guides.
- Manage the scheduling and logistics for photographers and videographers, coordinating travel and on-site arrangements under direction from the Head of Marketing.
- Organise and maintain the media asset library, ensuring all photography and video is filed and accessible.
- Take full responsibility for our online store, including managing stock levels, processing orders, and managing the relationship with third-party distribution partners.
- Manage all logistics for Experience Days and other brand events, including ticketing, handling customer enquiries, and coordinating on-the-day operations.
- Pull and collate data for monthly marketing reports (social media metrics, email engagement, event ticket sales, website traffic).
Skills & Experience:
- A Passion for Travel & Our Ethos: You have a deep love for exploring the world, ideally with a personal background in travel – perhaps a gap year, extended backpacking, or experience working in tourism.
- A Curious & Proactive Mind: You're a natural learner with a keen interest in how technology, including AI, can support your work, and have a willingness to explore new tools and approaches.
- Excellent Communicator & Team Player: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and a collaborative spirit. You're eager to support a small, dedicated team and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Organised & Detail-Oriented: You're comfortable with administrative tasks, data entry, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring everything is executed smoothly.
- Educational Background: As this is an apprentice role, we are open to candidates with a range of educational experience. You do not need to hold a degree but an understanding of, and interest in marketing is expected.
