Sporting Assets is the leading provider of advisory and investment management services to the sport and physical activity sector in the UK. We manage impact investment funds that provide affordable patient loans to community-based organisations delivering impact through sport and physical activity. Our investors and stakeholders include Sport England, National Governing Bodies, Trusts and Foundations such as the Bank Workers Charity, and Impact Investors including the Access Foundation and Better Society Capital. Beyond our funds, we offer business advisory services to help organisations build capacity, develop investment cases, and access funding to become more sustainable and impactful. As a social enterprise, we focus on building resilient, sustainable, well-invested community enterprises with improved social and health outcomes.

The role: You will play a hands-on role across the full investment lifecycle - from originating and assessing opportunities to executing deals and actively managing a portfolio of impact investments. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will help deploy capital into community sport organisations and support their long-term success.

Role requirements: We are seeking a commercially minded candidate with experience in SME lending, including credit assessment and underwriting processes, and a demonstrable track record across the investment lifecycle - from origination through to execution and ongoing portfolio management. You will bring strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to assess business plans, evaluate risk, and make clear, well-supported recommendations.

Experience working with investors or fund structures is important, including preparing high-quality investment materials and responding to investor queries. A solid understanding of financial markets, investment products, and deal structuring is expected, alongside the ability to manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail.

A genuine interest in impact investing is essential, and experience or a strong affinity with the sport or physical activity sector would be highly advantageous.

Benefits: We offer a competitive package including a base salary of up to £47,500 (depending on experience) plus a discretionary bonus of up to 30% and statutory pension contributions. You will receive 25 days’ flexible annual leave plus bank holidays, with additional days over Christmas. Alongside hybrid working arrangements (minimum two days per week in our Leeds office). Opportunity to progress rapidly in a growing business at the forefront of community sport investment in the UK. There is also the potential to become a shareholder as the business grows.

Applications details: To apply, please click here to be directed to the application portal. This role requires that you are resident and have the right to work in the UK.
