Role Summary

  • The Procurement Intern will support the Malawi procurement team in executing sourcing and procurement activities
  • Ensure procurement excellence, cost reduction, and timely payments
  • Provide customer service, maintain quality control
  • Handle documentation for deliveries
  • Deliver +90% On Time in Full (OTIF), ensure quality control standards
  • Coordinate order deliveries
  • Support new supplier relationships

Role Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience in procurement

The Procurement Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Malawi procurement team in executing various sourcing and procurement activities. The Procurement Intern will ensure procurement excellence, cost reduction, and timely payments. She/he provides customer service, maintains quality control, and handles documentation for deliveries. Responsibilities include delivering +90% On Time in Full (OTIF), ensuring quality control standards, coordinating order deliveries, supporting new supplier relationships, providing customer service, ensuring timely and compliant deliveries, generating RFQs, processing purchase orders, supporting SAP data entry, organizing records, and digitizing paperwork. Career growth and development include weekly check-ins, mentorship, training, regular feedback, and career reviews. Qualifications required include diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Management, or related field, minimum of 1+ year of experience in procurement, problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, ownership, data analysis skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
