Brighton Energy Co-op is a community energy organisation that has been raising local investment to install free solar for organisations across the South-East since 2010. We are a dedicated group of individuals with a healthy work/life balance, looking to expand the use of renewables locally and make sure the wider community benefits. We’re seeking a Solar Project Developer/Technical Sales Specialist to join our team and expand our partnerships across the South East. This role is perfect for someone passionate about community energy, looking to drive the growth of renewable energy projects. Applicants need to be based in the Sussex region. You will have excellent communication skills with a consultative approach. Most of our solar prospects require multi-month email and phone conversations, to support and guide the client through our development process. As solar projects progress, they often present unique problems. We solve these problems as a group, so you will need to be up to date on technical and regulatory requirements and be a team player. While we don’t expect candidates to have immediate experience of solar technology, they would need to demonstrate an ability and desire to learn through professional training and research. You have an eye for detail, the tenacity to see projects through, and a background in sales/ project management. Most importantly, you believe in the power of community energy to create positive change.
