Honorary Treasurer (Trustee)

The Honorary Treasurer is a Trustee and will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with our governing document and legal requirements and will report to the board of trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation. The Honorary Treasurer will also ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place and are appropriate for the charity. The Honorary Treasurer is a Trustee and the following responsibilities and duties are in addition to the responsibilities and duties of all trustees. Main Responsibilities include overseeing budgets, accounts, management accounts and financial statements, ensuring proper accounts and records, developing financial, reserves and investment policies, and liaising with the charity’s auditors. Main Duties involve creating financial instruments, implementing financial controls, advising on financial implications, acting as a counter-signatory, maintaining financial management of resources, and preparing the annual statement of accounts.
