The bit about us

x+why launched in 2019 with a simple belief: business should be a force for good. We’re proud to be a Certified B Corp, creating hospitality-led spaces that put people and planet alongside profit.

Today we operate 15 coworking, event, and members’ clubspaces across London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Milton Keynes, supporting a vibrant community of 5,000+ members - with more launches on the horizon!

The bit about the role

Full transparency, this probably isn’t the job for you if…

· you want to sit behind a desk all day.

· you prefer every day to look the same.

· you like to stay in the background.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be trusted to spot opportunities, solve problems, and make things happen. Although predominantly based on our front desk, you will be free to roam and proactively assist across the site as needed.

You will respond to email enquiries from members, coordinate member engagement events, manage stock/supplies, log any maintenance issues, set up equipment and furniture for events, and ensure all AV/tech across the site is functioning as it should be.

The space

Set within an stunning Georgian townhouse in the heart of Grosvenor Gardens, a short walk from Victoria, Fivefields is a large site that spans five beautifully designed floors. It is a unique site within our portfolio as it is a home for charities, social enterprises, and purpose-driven organisations. Our members enjoy a private library, a large versatile event space and a very charming roof terrace!

The bit about you

As the first person our members engage with, you will understand what exceptional service looks like, and how to achieve that. Your friendly and enthusiastic nature is infectious, and everyone who interacts with you walks away a little happier.

You enjoy being kept on your toes and are the "go to" person for any AV or tech issues - you are happiest moving around the site, will jump in if tables need to be rearranged for an event and will definitely be the team member who wants to investigate the strange noise coming from the plant room!!

Ideally you have previous experience in a coworking environment and are keen to start ASAP.

Why x+why?

We want people to enjoy coming to work. Even on Mondays.

In return, you’ll get to work in beautifully designed spaces with great coffee, lots of plants, and a genuinely supportive (and social!) team who care about creating brilliant experiences for members, while still having fun along the way!!

Joining us means becoming part of a growing business at an exciting stage of its journey. You'll gain exposure to every aspect of running a thriving coworking community, from member experience and events to operations and commercial activity. For someone who is curious, proactive, and eager to learn, this role offers genuine opportunities to grow and progress as we continue to expand.
