The ideal candidate

Naturally, you should be adept at leading projects, managing budgets and you will share our deep passion for startups, innovation and tech. An innovation, product-based or entrepreneurial background would be very useful, but it’s your relationship management and commitment to programme delivery, supported by meticulous attention to detail that will matter most.

Roles and responsibilities

Establishing strategic partnerships with other ecosystem organisations (e.g. incubators, co-working spaces, Universities) to facilitate the identification of prospective candidate startups for the programmes Leading the development and delivery of the accelerator’s community offering, which aims to provide cohort companies with a rich selection of support across key partners, during and after the end of the programme. Developing and implementing data strategies that will allow us to continuously improve our community offering Managing the relationship with Unrest’s community partners Line management of up to one team member working across both South Yorkshire and London Leveraging your existing relationships within the startup/tech industry to bring the entrepreneurs, business leaders and key stakeholders together for the benefit of the sector. Responsibility for developing and monitoring output reporting with respect to Community (Strategic and Operational KPIs) Iterating and innovating to ensure continuous improvement across all activities within Community, including building for scale (the expansion of Unrest) and including automated tooling and output reporting.

Experience

5 years experience in the startup industry and/or accelerators Experience in community and partnership roles preferred Experience in setting up repeatable and scalable processes Understanding of accelerator programmes for startups and scaleups. Track-record in strategic thinking and achieving role objectives. Being a self-starter, taking initiative, self-managing and requiring little day-to-day direction. Excellent project management skills, and experience in setting up repeatable and scalable processes Strong planning, information management and communications skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal relationship skills. Passionate about developing their team. Ideally familiarity with the South Yorkshire region and an extensive network in the business support landscape.
