Organisation summary Infinite Roots is a biotech company using fermentation to create the next generation of sustainable foods from the roots of mushrooms.

Role Summary

  • Own all core HR processes end-to-end (contracts, payroll interface, benefits, policies)
  • Ensure legal compliance and smooth day-to-day operations
  • Manage external partners (payroll, legal, advisors)
  • Translate business priorities into people initiatives
  • Oversee ongoing hiring processes together with hiring managers
  • Drive performance management cycles (goal setting, feedback, reviews)
  • Support managers in leadership, feedback, and people decision
  • Drive the development of our company culture and ensure it scales with the organization
  • Address employee relations topics
  • Drive initiatives that support team engagement and retention

Role Requirements

  • Several years of experience in a senior People / HR role, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Strong hands-on mindset
  • Solid knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Experience building and developing people structures, processes, and tools in a growing organization
  • Confidence working closely with the leadership and senior leaders
  • Pragmatic, calm, and structured — especially in ambiguous situations
  • High level of trustworthiness, discretion, and emotional intelligence when dealing with sensitive topics
  • Strong communication skills in English and German

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in a senior People / HR role, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Strong hands-on mindset — you are comfortable doing the work yourself
  • Solid knowledge of labor law and HR best practices 
  • Experience building and developing people structures, processes, and tools in a growing organization
  • Confidence working closely with the leadership and senior leaders
  • Pragmatic, calm, and structured — especially in ambiguous situations
  • High level of trustworthiness, discretion and emotional intelligence when dealing with sensitive topics
  • Strong communication skills in English and German
