Organisation summary Infinite Roots is a biotech company using fermentation to create the next generation of sustainable foods from the roots of mushrooms.
Role Summary
- Own all core HR processes end-to-end (contracts, payroll interface, benefits, policies)
- Ensure legal compliance and smooth day-to-day operations
- Manage external partners (payroll, legal, advisors)
- Translate business priorities into people initiatives
- Oversee ongoing hiring processes together with hiring managers
- Drive performance management cycles (goal setting, feedback, reviews)
- Support managers in leadership, feedback, and people decision
- Drive the development of our company culture and ensure it scales with the organization
- Address employee relations topics
- Drive initiatives that support team engagement and retention
Role Requirements
- Several years of experience in a senior People / HR role, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment
- Strong hands-on mindset
- Solid knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Experience building and developing people structures, processes, and tools in a growing organization
- Confidence working closely with the leadership and senior leaders
- Pragmatic, calm, and structured — especially in ambiguous situations
- High level of trustworthiness, discretion, and emotional intelligence when dealing with sensitive topics
- Strong communication skills in English and German
