Role Summary
- Deliver impactful programmes as a Session Leader
- Deliver after school learning sessions
- Work with the team to deliver daily reading and writing sessions
- Lead and support sessions for pupils in Years 5-8
Role Requirements
- Experience leading groups of children in workshops, sessions or similar
- Responsible for leading learning activities on Virtual ship and/or in person in Hackney
- Lead termly celebration events to launch Young Pirate products
- Brief and support volunteers in session
- Deliver monitoring and evaluation activities to check progress
We are always on the look out for passionate Session Leaders to deliver our impactful programmes. You will play a direct part in achieving our goal of supporting more young people as you deliver after school learning sessions. If you’ve got experience facilitating or leading groups and are motivated by making an impact, we’d love to hear from you! You will be working in the team to deliver daily reading and writing sessions to pupils in Years 5-8. Your timetable will include days when you lead sessions and days when you support sessions. Essential: Experience leading groups of children in workshops, sessions or similar. You will be responsible for leading learning activities on our Virtual ship and/or in person in Hackney, leading termly celebration events to launch Young Pirate products, briefing and supporting volunteers (Crewmates) in session, delivering monitoring and evaluation activities to check progress. As Session Support: Greeting and registering Young Pirates, completing session admin, leading on the smooth running of Zoom Class in virtual sessions.
