Office locations can be found HERE The Role We’re recruiting for Senior Product Managers here at Justice Digital , to be part of our warm and collaborative teams in our HMPPS Digital, the Legal Aid Agency and Platforms and Architecture areas. We need Senior Product Managers to be a part of our highly collaborative and creative teams here at Justice Digital. There are various opportunities across a range of teams that are already delivering and developing great products and services across a diverse portfolio of work. There are opportunities in the following areas: In HMPPS Digital we create and run the tools that support the Prison and Probation Service to provide decent, safe and productive places to live and work, and uses data to enable better decision making to protect the public and reduce reoffending, whilst supporting the people in our care. We own internal staff facing services and multiple public facing services such as Visit someone in prison . See more about what we are doing in the HMPPS digital, data and technology strategy .  In the Legal Aid Agency we help the most vulnerable people in society to get access to legal representation. LAA digital works to improve access to legal representation and enable reliable and swift payments to providers of legal aid. We aim to support the future of legal aid with sustainable, user-centred services such as Check if you can get legal aid . In Platforms and Architecture we enable efficiencies across Justice Digital by solving common problems. We run two hosting platforms, the Cloud Platform (for new, modern services) and the Modernisation Platform (for older, legacy services). In the data space, we run the MoJ’s Analytical Platform, a cloud-first platform for secure data storage and analysis and the CJS Dashboard . In publishing, we run MoJ Forms, a form-building platform and Hale, a WordPress website builder for sites exempt from GOV.UK. To help picture your life at MoJ Justice Digital please take a look at our blog and our Digital and Technology strategy 2025 Key Responsibilities: As the Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the Data Platform and will be responsible for setting the product vision, strategy and roadmap across the service area, including for our existing Analytical Platform. Your work will involve: advocating the value of your product working closely with users, stakeholders and senior leaders across multiple agencies to gain buy-in and drive adoption of the platform being an advocate for agile working, user needs user-centred design  working in the open by communicating priorities and progress through various channels including stakeholder meetings, blog posts and demos  setting the strategic direction for multidisciplinary team(s) working closely with engineering teams to ensure technology decisions meet user needs   participating in informal support networks with your product peers in the MoJ product communities mentoring and/or people management responsibilities in the product manager community  If this feels like an exciting challenge and you want to join our team please read on and apply! Person Specification Essential Product ownership - The core tactical skills of product management, capturing user needs to inform decision-making and prioritisation, and translate them into outcomes. Working within constraints - Identify and understand constraints, and is able to communicate these and work within them. Able to challenge the validity of constraints and ensure standards are met.   Strategic ownership - Develop and maintain an understanding of economic, social, political, environmental and technological developments to ensure activity is relevant. Ensure plans and activities in your area of work reflect wider strategic priorities and communicate effectively with senior leaders to influence future strategies. Lifecycle perspective - Understanding of the different phases of the product lifecycle and the impact this has on product strategy.  Problem management - Explore and define problems before they design solutions. You will have the capability to define problems from scant information using research, articulating and defending the problem definition (when needed), and understanding how the problem fits into the bigger picture. User focus - User-centred design is at the heart of our work. You’ll be working to at least ‘practitioner’ level in this area: able to collaborate with user researchers and can sell or represent users internally; understand the difference between user needs and desires of the user; able to champion user research to focus on totality of all users; Agile working - You can coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices, determining the right approach for the team to take and evaluating this through the life of a project.
