Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. Do you have minimum 5 years’ professional experience in international humanitarian or development work, including in the MENA region, with substantive focus on agriculture, livelihoods, food security, or rural/enterprise development? Do you have proven technical expertise in agricultural value chains, cooperative or MSME support, market systems facilitation, or food systems programming in fragile or conflict-affected contexts? Do you have solid understanding of food security frameworks and how livelihoods, agricultural recovery, and job creation contribute to food security outcomes? The Role: The Livelihoods & Economic Justice Advisor provides timely and high-quality technical support to Oxfam and partner teams in Lebanon on all matters related to economic justice, with a primary focus on agriculture and food systems, livelihoods recovery, and support to businesses and job creation. The Advisor promotes programme learning and continuous improvement of programme quality and effectiveness, and strengthened accountability. S/he supports the production of evidence from programmes that underpins effective advocacy and campaigns. In addition, s/he identifies scaling-up opportunities and new project ideas in line with economic needs on the ground, in consultation with programme teams. Cash-based modalities, access to finance, social protection, and safety nets are integrated as cross-cutting tools in service of these priorities.
