Role Summary
- Be the second line lead for corporate risk and compliance
- Own compliance intake and risk triage process
- Maintain operational risk register with clear RACI allocations
- Run issue management and escalation process
- Design and manage vendor onboarding and governance
- Ensure compliance contract review processes are followed
- Be the main point of contact for vendor logs, including renewals and notices via Juro
- Support day to day implementation of the data privacy compliance model (with outsourced DPO)
- Produce structured reporting for governance forums
- Embed risk culture across the organization, including delivering fun and creative training
- Engaging with senior stakeholders and management, including Board
Role Requirements
- Deep experience in risk/compliance in a scaling fintech environment
- Strong understanding of the regulatory FS perimeter
- Sufficient payments and FS regulatory knowledge
- Strong operational process design capability
- Vendor and third-party risk experience
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR
- Strong stakeholder management and communication
- Prior experience engaging with regulators would be a plus

THE ROLE We’re looking for a Corporate Risk & Compliance Manager to build and lead TiPJAR’s corporate risk and compliance function as we scale into a more structured, enterprise-ready operating model.
Reporting line: General Counsel. Location: Hybrid/London (near Liverpool St).

Interview Process We keep our process simple, transparent, and human. You’ll meet the people you’ll actually work with, and we’ll give you space to show how you think, communicate, and collaborate.
Initial Conversation (20–30 mins) - A relaxed call to learn more about you, your experience, and what you’re looking for. Hiring Manager Competency Interview (45 mins) - A deeper conversation about the role, your skills, and how you approach your work. Task Exercise- A 60 minute, role-relevant task that gives you a feel for the work and helps us understand your thinking. Final Conversation - A conversation with a Director or Co-founder, giving you the chance to ask questions and get a real sense of what it’s like to work here.
