Full time, fixed term position for 1 year (extension possible subject to funding) Up to £34,000 per annum Hybrid role – office and home working We are looking for a creative and strategic marketer, confident in developing and executing behaviour-change campaigns, building engagement through compelling storytelling, targeted communications and inspiring content that encourages community participation and nature connection across the UK. Eden Project is an educational charity delivering UK-wide community outreach programmes that focus on encouraging positive action for people and planet and creating social capital on a mass scale. With Eden’s 25th anniversary celebrations, a second destination due to open in Morecambe Bay and a significant new Nature Connections project underway, it’s a really exciting time to join this passionate team. Working into the Senior Marketing Manager and collaborating closely with the wider Marketing, Digital, PR, Partnerships and Programme Delivery teams, the purpose of this role is to support on the development and delivery of marketing campaigns that reach, engage and inspire more people to take part in The Big Lunch and Nature Connections initiatives. The post holder will plan and deliver integrated, creative campaigns that build awareness, drive participation and deepen connection with Eden’s brand and charitable mission. They will ensure campaign messages and materials are audience-focused, brand-aligned and strategically distributed across print, digital and partnership channels. Key Accountabilities Develop and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns to increase awareness, engagement and participation in The Big Lunch, The Big Help Out and Nature Connections programmes. This includes creating briefs, producing campaign materials, managing delivery timelines and ensuring brand consistency and alignment as part of the wider Eden Project brand. Liaise with internal teams to understand objectives, audience insights and segmentation data to inform messaging and develop strong creative campaigns. Work with content and digital colleagues to deliver high-quality materials across print, digital and social platforms. Track campaign performance, evaluate effectiveness against KPIs, and demonstrate ROI.
Support the development and delivery of e-newsletters and digital communications to engage audiences with Eden’s community campaigns, including content planning and copywriting, testing, and performance tracking to inform future strategy.
Collaborate with the Partnerships team to design and deliver joint marketing campaigns and provide marketing assets to support partner activity, sponsorship activations and events.
Support fulfilment processes for key campaign materials such as The Big Lunch and The Big Help Out pack and Nature Connections resources, working with colleagues to ensure smooth delivery and accurate data handling in line with GDPR.
Identify and coordinate promotional opportunities including community events, exhibitions, conferences and campaigns, ensuring Eden’s messaging is visible and impactful across channels.
Support content creation and storytelling by working with the PR and content teams to source case studies, photography, and video content that bring community and nature stories to life across Eden’s marketing channels.
Maintain campaign records and reporting, ensuring consistent data management, evaluation, and sharing of learnings across teams to inform future campaigns.
Education & Qualifications Educated to degree level, ideally within a relevant discipline such as Marketing or Communications.
Knowledge & Skills Minimum of five years’ experience in marketing, ideally within a charity, not-for-profit or community campaign setting. Proven ability to develop and deliver creative, audience-led marketing campaigns that drive engagement, participation and behavioural change. Strong understanding of current marketing trends and best practices, including digital, print and partnership marketing and working with multiple stakeholders across the programme delivery. Excellent copywriting, editing and proofing skills with the ability to write for diverse audiences and channels. Competence in using audience data and analytics to shape and evaluate campaigns. Highly organised, proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines. A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong design sensibility and an eye for impactful visual storytelling.
Decision-making Working to short- and medium-term objectives within the broader marketing strategy, the post holder will have autonomy in managing workload, advising on content and creative approaches, and adapting plans to changing priorities. They will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work closely with the wider Marketing, Digital, PR, Partnerships and Programme Delivery teams to ensure cohesive and effective delivery.
Resourcefulness This role demands creativity, initiative and flexibility. The post holder must be proactive in identifying opportunities, responsive to trends and challenges, and confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously. A self-starter who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
People & asset management The role may supervise or guide staff, volunteers or external freelancers and manage relationships with agencies and suppliers. Responsible for small campaign budgets and for ensuring assets such as campaign data, imagery and case studies are stored, used and shared appropriately in line with GDPR.
Communication & visitor experience Exceptional communication skills are essential. The post holder must be able to craft clear, engaging and motivational content and represent Eden Project with professionalism and authenticity. They will tailor messaging for different audiences and channels, maintaining brand voice and impact across all materials.
Operational environment The role is flexible to enable home working as required as part of a hardworking, fun and passionate UK wide team, with an office location at the Eden Project in Cornwall. This role may require working outside of usual hours, weekend and evening work and some UK based travel.
Additional features Enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated, with a genuine interest in community action, sustainability and social impact. A driving licence is desirable.
