About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. About the Role The Senior Quality Engineer manages the quality and reliability of delivered solutions as well as improving the processes that uphold the Engineering team’s technical best practices. You will own quality for many complex services.
Responsibilities - Requirements Analysis - Manage quality assurance and control parameters throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) - Analyze necessary technical specifications and non-functional requirements that should be reflected in the solution’s technical implementation; ensure they’re captured in backlog - Quality Assurance - Devise strategies for implementing long-term quality measurement and other service level agreement (SLA) tracking - Lead the creation and the management of key metrics and indicators of product quality that inform decisions and strategies by stakeholders - Streamlined Testing - Source quality-driven feedback and performance metrics directly from field staff/users - Manage testing strategies in accordance with defined quality parameters delivery schedules; ensure test frameworks across department align with strategy - Set standards for test automation in CI/CD pipelines across the department - Lead test management according to Engineering team's principles - Prepare, refine, and track test plans and cases according to quality parameters and acceptance criteria - Quality Control - Lead department-wide compliance with latest industry standards and best practices - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate or diagnose antipatterns and recommend best solutions - Document your work to ensure replicability - Mentor other Quality Engineers and peer review their work - Troubleshooting Production Issues - Isolate and track bugs throughout all stages of testing and product support - Anticipate and manage solution deficiencies as informed by technical guides and quality assessment reports - Career Growth and Development - We have a strong culture of constant learning and we invest in developing our people. Qualifications - Background in software testing: Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST) - Experience in software quality principles and quality control principles: Certified Manager of Software Quality(CMSQ) - Experience working in Agile
