About WBA

The World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) is an independent, non-profit organisation that measures how the most influential companies in the world impact people and planet. Our research is freely available so that, together, we can hold companies accountable for contributing to sustainable development. Our benchmarks and methodologies serve as a roadmap for companies to understand the changes they need to make to put our planet, society, and the economy on a more sustainable path. We support our Allies, UN agencies, governments, and other stakeholders in the broader corporate accountability ecosystem to understand how they can establish clear consequences for corporate inaction.

WBA is a Teal-inspired organisation, intentionally shaping a distinctive organisational culture. Drawing on principles of Teal, Regenerative Leadership and other inspirational leadership models. We are building a workplace where collaboration, trust, and personal growth are prioritised alongside high performance. We are committed to ongoing cultural evolution and seek candidates who are excited to contribute to an environment where both our results and our people continually improve.

Why this role matters

We are looking for a Campaign Manager to join our Communications and Advocacy Team. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of content, storytelling and advocacy. Translating complex insights and calls to action about private sector accountability into campaigns that reach our key audiences through earned and social media channels as well as influential voices, partners and convenings.

You will plan, coordinate, and deliver campaigns connected to our Planet topics and our new Integrated Transition Assessment. Covering themes like the phase-out of fossil fuels, credible corporate transition planning and biodiversity. Working closely with research, engagement, and communications, you will ensure our data and insights land with impact for business, media, and advocacy audiences.

What you'll bring

Design and deliver campaign plans that build awareness and drive behaviour changes among stakeholders and business audiences — from initial planning through to execution and evaluation. Manage campaign timelines and deliverables, coordinating across research, engagement, and communications teams to keep activities well-timed and on track. Write and review campaign content across different formats and channels — adapting tone and complexity for each audience. Track and evaluate campaign performance, drawing out lessons learned to continuously improve our approach. Build and manage relationships with external partners to strengthen the visibility and reach of our campaigns. Lead/support media relations activity: building journalist relationships, drafting press releases, handling enquiries, and proactively pitching stories that advance our advocacy goals. Work closely with the Planet Programme team to shape how research outputs, benchmarks, and assessments are framed for external audiences — ensuring technical findings are translated into clear, compelling narratives. Respond to fast-moving moments in the climate and corporate accountability space, adapting plans and spotting media moments quickly. Champion consistent application of our brand, messaging, and tone of voice across all external outputs.

What we are looking for

Four to six years' experience running multi-channel, multi-stakeholder campaigns — ideally in a climate, sustainability, or corporate accountability context. A strong understanding of the private sector's role in driving climate and nature outcomes, and what it takes to shift corporate behaviour. Proven ability and skills to develop and deliver advocacy and behaviour change campaigns from strategy to execution to evaluation. A proactive and engaging relationship builder. Excellent project management and communication skills: organised, reliable, articulate and can juggle multiple deadlines. Previous experience in media relations and coordination or proven skills to learn. Experience with tools like Canva and campaign analytics platforms is a plus. Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
