Role Summary

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of garment development from concept to factory shipment.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure the development aligns with brand standards, timelines and costs.
  • Oversee garment costings and negotiate with suppliers to ensure accurate budgeting and timely deliveries.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in fashion development, sourcing or production.
  • Degree in Fashion, Product Development, Textiles, or related field.
  • Sound understanding of garment construction and cost components.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), PLM, Adobe Illustrator, and ERP/Costing tools.
  • Clear and effective communication skills with both internal teams and external suppliers.

The role: As a Product Developer – Apparel with a Costing Focus, you will manage the development of garments from concept to bulk ex-factory. This involves working closely with product management, design, technical, and sourcing teams to ensure products are developed in line with brand standards, timelines, and target costs. A strong focus is placed on accurate garment costing and negotiation, supplier coordination, and development tracking to secure on time bulk deliveries.

Job requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have 5+ years in apparel development, sourcing, or production, a degree in Fashion, Product Development, Textiles, or related field, and a strong understanding of garment construction and cost components. Proficiency in Excel (advanced), PLM, Adobe Illustrator, ERP/Costing tools is required. Clear communication with internal teams and external suppliers is essential.
