Site Operator

Rivan Industries, located at Rivan.com, is a pioneering synthetic fuel company focused on decarbonizing heavy industry. Our mission is to make synthetic fuel more affordable than fossil fuels, thereby sustaining life on Earth by keeping CO2 locked underground. We design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants that include a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor. We are also integrated with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. Recently, we deployed the UK's largest synthetic fuel plant and have plans to scale this 1000x in the next two years.

The role: As a Site Operator at Rivan Industries, you will be responsible for the full development cycle of our site operations, which can be tailored to your specialist skillset. Your responsibilities will include full accountability for the effective operation of our site, site maintenance, managing all tooling, assisting with assembly and commissioning of new hardware, safe operation of lifting equipment, making necessary adjustments to hardware, basic electrical wiring, routine maintenance, and maintaining cleanliness. Additionally, you will help operate the system safely according to standard operating procedures, manage all stakeholders on site, and ensure strict adherence to our safety policy.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of professional experience, preferably running chemical plants or large-scale mechanical systems. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field is preferable but not essential.

Benefits: The position offers a salary range of £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience, along with share options as part of the early team. The role requires in-person work at our site in Wroughton, Swindon, with some work at our HQ in London.
