Rivan Industries is a pioneering synthetic fuel company focused on decarbonizing heavy industry. Our mission is to make synthetic fuel more affordable than fossil fuels, thereby supporting life on Earth by keeping CO2 locked underground. We design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants that include a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor. We are also integrated with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid.
The role: As a Solar Planning Officer at Rivan Industries, you will be responsible for various aspects of the planning and permitting process. This includes securing land rights and permits for new pipeline connections, overseeing early-stage planning work such as feasibility studies and land use compatibility applications, and preparing and submitting an AAI application. You will also manage social engagement strategies with local stakeholders and secure necessary municipal permits and authorizations to enable construction. Additionally, you will be managing and engaging with stakeholders at various levels of government and other statutory consultees, and developing a communications plan across the hierarchy of stakeholders in the UK and Spain.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have 7-10+ years of professional experience, including experience with the AAI permitting process in Spain or the NSIP in the UK. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is required.
