The story

WilderMe CIC is a unique organisation, created to make wellness and nature immersive experiences accessible to the autistic and SEND community across the UK. At WilderMe, we believe in community and connection to foster a healthier and more inclusive world.

Nature-based wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. So is making sure it's genuinely accessible — which is why we're committed to funding bursary places for autistic people and their families who might not otherwise get to experience what we offer. We're passionate about inclusivity, particularly supporting neurodivergent adults and children to reconnect with nature, slow down, and thrive.

Our belief is simple: nature access should be for everyone. And everything we do is shaped by our dual mission — a sustainable commercial glamping and retreat centre that funds and hosts life-changing retreats for the neurodivergent community.

The opportunity

This is a role for someone who's spent years building relationships in the corporate world — and is ready for those relationships to actually mean something.

As our Strategic Partnerships Manager, you'll be the person who connects WilderMe to the corporate world — identifying organisations whose values, CSR priorities, or wellbeing goals align with ours, and turning those conversations into sponsorships, donations, cause-related marketing, employee fundraising, and corporate retreat bookings.

You'll bring your own network. You'll know how to get in front of the right people, tell a story that lands, and close. And you'll do it because you believe in what's on the other side of every deal — a bursary place for an autistic person who gets to experience the magic of WilderMe and helping move this unique social enterprise to the next phase.

📌 This post is funded for an initial two-year period — but we fully expect the income you generate to make it self-sustaining well within that timeframe. For the right person, this is a role you can grow into and make your own for years to come.

What you'll actually do

  • Bring your existing network of corporate contacts to WilderMe from day one — and build a diverse new pipeline across sectors including B Corps, wellness brands, outdoor & adventure, sustainable lifestyle, tech, creative agencies, professional firms, and ethical food & drink
  • Develop a portfolio of partnership offerings — sponsorship, cause-related marketing, in-kind support, employee fundraising, corporate retreats, and gifting opportunities
  • Pitch compellingly to senior stakeholders — CSR leads, Directors, HR teams — and close
  • Build tailored stewardship plans that deepen relationships, inspire continued giving, and keep partners genuinely connected to WilderMe's impact
  • Be accountable for ambitious income targets that directly sustain WilderMe's mission and fund bursary places
  • Account manage a growing portfolio of partners — making sure they feel the difference their support is making
  • Represent WilderMe at networking events, conferences, and meetings — becoming our voice in the corporate world
  • Work closely with our small team to make sure what you commit to, we can deliver

Who we're looking for

You don't need a charity CV. You need to be exceptional at building relationships, comfortable pitching at a senior level, and genuinely moved by what WilderMe is trying to do.

You'll be a strong fit if you:

  • Have 2–3+ years in corporate partnerships, B2B sales, business development, or corporate fundraising — and can point to deals you've closed
  • Come with an established network you're ready to activate for a purpose you believe in
  • Are a natural, exceptional relationship-builder — people trust you quickly and stay in your orbit
  • Can write and speak in a way that makes people lean in — whether that's a cold email or a boardroom pitch
  • Are self-directed and thrive working independently — you don't need to be managed to stay motivated
  • Understand the CSR and ESG landscape and can fluently connect a corporate's priorities to WilderMe's mission
  • Are genuinely drawn to WilderMe's values around nature connection, neurodivergence, and inclusive access — not just the job

It's a bonus if you:

  • Have existing connections in the South West business community
  • Have lived or professional experience relevant to autism, SEND, or nature-based wellbeing
  • Have worked in or alongside the charity or social enterprise sector

What's in it for you

  • £22,500 per annum — that's £37,500 full-time equivalent, competitive for the sector and the region
  • 3 days a week, flexible — arranged by agreement around your life
  • Mainly remote — work from wherever works for you, with occasional visits to one of the most beautiful spots in Cornwall - Cawsand.
  • Fixed-term 2 years with strong expectation of permanency as the role funds itself
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata) — equivalent to 33 days FTE
  • Workplace pension in line with auto-enrolment requirements
  • A warm, small team that trusts you and gives you real autonomy
  • Work that directly translates into bursary places for autistic people who might not otherwise get to experience the restorative power of wild, coastal Cornwall
