Catuçaba, Brazil
About We Are Nature
We Are Nature stewards two unique hospitality destinations in Brazil: Pousada Picinguaba, on the Atlantic coast of Ubatuba, and Fazenda Catuçaba, a 400-hectare regenerative farm and hospitality retreat located between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Fazenda Catuçaba is much more than a hotel. It is a living ecosystem where hospitality, regenerative agriculture, forests, lakes, animals, architecture, and community coexist. Guests come seeking beauty, connection, and meaningful experiences rooted in nature.
As we enter a new phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager who can oversee not only hospitality operations, but also help steward the broader ecosystem of the farm and its infrastructure.
The Role
This role combines three dimensions:
Hospitality Operations:
- Ensuring guests experience the warmth, attention to detail, and excellence of a family-run hospitality project.
Farm & Land Stewardship
- Supporting the daily management of regenerative agricultural activities, animals, gardens, and the broader landscape.
Maintenance & Infrastructure
- Overseeing maintenance of houses, common areas, equipment, roads, water systems, and farm infrastructure.
- You will work closely with the owners and local teams to ensure that hospitality and land management remain integrated.
Responsibilities
Hospitality
- Lead day-to-day operations of Fazenda Catuçaba.
- Supervise guest experience, housekeeping, food & beverage, reservations, and logistics.
- Ensure high service standards and attention to detail.
- Coordinate retreats, groups, and private buyouts.
- Monitor occupancy and operational KPIs.
Farm & Regenerative Operations
- Coordinate farm teams and seasonal activities.
- Support vegetable gardens, agroforestry systems, animals, and regenerative initiatives.
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and daily operations.
- Help maintain a culture of care and stewardship toward the land.
Maintenance & Infrastructure
- Supervise maintenance of houses, buildings, roads, water systems, and equipment.
- Coordinate external contractors and technical services.
- Anticipate and solve operational problems proactively.
- Ensure safety and functionality across the property.
Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary teams with warmth and accountability.
- Recruit, train, and develop people.
- Foster a positive culture rooted in trust and collaboration.
- Build systems and processes while preserving the soul of a family-run operation.
