Role Summary:

  • Manage the sales process and credit control

  • Leading monthly accounting and reporting activities


Role Requirements:

  • AAT qualification or studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in the charity sector and familiarity with Access Financials software is advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to a hybrid/remote working arrangement

The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a circular economy, which aims to design out waste, keep products and materials in use, and regenerate natural systems. Our work involves collaborating with businesses, academia, policymakers, and institutions to drive global change.

The role: As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the sales process and credit control, monitoring budgeted costs against actuals, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date accounting records and systems. Your focus will be to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, manage the sales ledger, and lead month-end accounting and reporting. This is a maternity cover position for 10 months, and you will be required to travel to our offices in Isle of Wight or London monthly.

Job requirements: You should be AAT qualified with relevant experience or studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA, and have 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Experience in the charity sector and familiarity with Access Financials software are advantages. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively within a hybrid/remote working arrangement.
