POSITION: Cash Transfer Associate LOCATION: We will only consider candidates legally authorized to work in Côte d'Ivoire . WORKPLACE TYPE: Flexible hybrid working environment CLOSING DATE: 12 August 2026 JOB LEVEL: 11 Project: An industry-led initiative implementing programs dedicated to farmers and communities at scale with the objective of strengthening the resilience of the cocoa supply chain in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. Role of the Rainforest Alliance: Supporting the launch of the operations in Côte d'Ivoire by establishing and managing a team to ensure effective delivery, coordination, and monitoring of all activities on the field including agronomy services. POSITION SUMMARY: The Rainforest Alliance is supporting the launch of this project in Côte d'Ivoire by establishing and managing a team to ensure effective delivery, coordination, and monitoring of all activities on the field including agronomy services. The Cash Transfer Associate will report directly to the Cash Transfer, Team Lead. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Daily project implementation Work with cooperatives to socialize the program, sensitize farmers and engage all local relevant stakeholders, telecom and fintech providers, community leaders, local authorities (civil registrars), toward mobile money protocol. Be a field-level focal point for engagement with all these stakeholders; Support the cash transfer roll out by registering farmers, providing backstopping for cooperatives, and fintech partner who will provide the cash transfer service; Oversee daily implementation of project's cash transfer component and manage relationships with participating cocoa cooperatives and farmers; Identify and troubleshoot operational issues related to cash transfer operations and stakeholder engagement. Monitor adherence to agreed protocols and criteria for payment eligibility; Monitor and help manage farmer feedback, complaints and inquiries related to cash payments Monitoring & Evaluation Support M&E activities and school incentive data collection efforts: Work with the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) team to develop and implement tools for tracking the progress and influence of cash transfer interventions; Oversee the monitoring and evaluation process of the cash transfer program. Contribute to it, ensuring data collection from farmers and cooperatives through mobile phone surveys. This must be done in full compliance with national and internal data protection rules. Document and share best practices, lessons learned, and success stories with all stakeholders; Logistical support Help manage vehicle logistics and coordination of transport for project field activities; Support planning and execution of workshops, community meetings, training sessions and other events. Provision of input for project documentation Prepare detailed reports on project progress, challenges, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement of cash transfer processes and overall project. Perform any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the program leadership team. WHAT YOU BRING: A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Development Studies, Economics, Finance, Business studies, or a related field relevant to the position requirements; At least 3 years of progressive work experience in social protection programs, or livelihood support projects, with demonstrated prior experience managing or contributing to cash transfer programs; Prior experience working in rural communities in Cote d'Ivoire; Experience working with farmer organizations, cooperatives, or private-sector actors in agriculture-based supply chains; Experience with conditional cash transfer mechanisms, including eligibility criteria, verification, disbursement procedures, and grievance redress; Familiarity with financial inclusion concepts, gender-sensitive programming, and safeguarding practices; Proficiency in French (oral and written); and Ability to travel locally at least 50% of the time to multiple rural locations.
