HELLO, WE’RE TIPJAR TiPJAR exists to make appreciation fair, transparent, and direct and in joining our team, you’ll play a part in putting tipping back in the hands of the people who earn it and rely on it most. What began as a bold idea has become a global platform changing the daily lives of thousands. We’re doing something no one has done before, and that means we move fast, challenge assumptions, and push through walls that would stop most teams. We’re a values-led, people-first company. We celebrate wins loudly, communicate openly, innovate boldly, and believe success is something we build and share together.

THE ROLE Reporting to the BDR Sales Lead, you will join a growing revenue development function working closely with our BDE, New Business Development team and Marketing. You will create and qualify new sales opportunities across the hospitality sector through targeted outbound prospecting and structured inbound qualification. You will hold credible first conversations with operators, understand their challenges and pass well-qualified opportunities to the appropriate closing owner. This is not a role focused solely on booking meetings. You will be measured on the quality and value of the pipeline you create, and rewarded when the opportunities you qualify are accepted and ultimately become customers.

What You’ll Be Doing Day to Day: Research and prospect into target hospitality accounts using telephone, email and structured outreach sequences Hold credible first conversations with operators, identify commercial needs and qualify potential opportunities Respond quickly to allocated inbound enquiries and hold structured discovery conversations Create well-qualified handoffs for the BDR Sales Lead, BDE and New Business Development team Maintain accurate qualification, source, ownership and next-step information in HubSpot Work closely with Sales and Marketing to test messaging, improve targeting and share insights from the market Manage your working rhythm effectively in a remote environment while maintaining consistent activity and output Attend relevant events, trade shows and team days

What You Bring Experience in a customer-facing, sales, hospitality or commercially focused environment Confidence speaking to new people by telephone and the resilience to handle rejection Curiosity and the ability to ask thoughtful questions rather than rely solely on a script Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to learn CRM, sales-engagement and business software quickly Good personal organisation and the discipline to manage your own working rhythm remotely Hospitality experience is helpful but not essential Based in a region where access to our London office is feasible for events and office days (roughly weekly)

How We Measure Success Consistently working a high-quality portfolio of target accounts Holding relevant discovery conversations and creating sales-accepted opportunities Generating qualified MRR pipeline, rather than simply meeting volume Maintaining agreed outbound activity and inbound response standards Achieving strong meeting attendance and handoff acceptance rates Recording complete and accurate information in HubSpot Improving targeting and messaging through feedback from the market

What We Offer Salary of £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience On-target earnings of £55,000+, with uncapped commission Commission for qualified opportunities accepted by the closing team, with further reward when those opportunities become customers A clear progression route into closing, account development or BDR leadership as the team grows Flexible working options Work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks a year TiPJAR reward scheme Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme Company socials A values led, supportive team A workplace where your ideas matter and your impact is visible

Our Values A Tip Is Earned, Never Expected: We recognise great work openly, fairly, and often. A Community of Trust and Transparency: We communicate honestly and care about the detail. Tap Into the Passion: We stay curious, take smart risks, and keep improving. Success Is a Shared TiPJAR: We win together, support each other, and share the rewards.

Interview Process We keep our process simple, transparent, and human. You’ll meet the people you’ll actually work with, and we’ll give you space to show how you think, communicate, and collaborate. Initial Conversation (20–30 mins) - A relaxed call to learn more about you, your experience, and what you’re looking for. Hiring Manager Competency Interview (45-60 mins) - A deeper conversation about the role, your skills, and how you approach your work. This may also include a task to prepare for. Final Conversation - A conversation with a Director or Co-founder, giving you the chance to ask questions and get a real sense of what it’s like to work here. We move quickly and communicate openly throughout. No surprises, no long waits, no unnecessary steps
