Role Description 💼 The Account Manager owns client relationships at AlliedOffsets from post-onboarding through renewal and growth, with a strong emphasis on driving enterprise engagement while successfully scaling standard and mid-market accounts. You’ll be the primary point of contact clients trust to understand their goals, anticipate their needs, and help them get maximum value from the platform. This is a consultative, solutions-driven role. You are not just supporting clients; you are actively shaping their strategy with AlliedOffsets and driving the commercial outcomes that come with it. Managing a diverse range of accounts, you will balance high-touch strategic engagement for enterprise partners with efficient, growth-oriented management for mid-market clients, working alongside the Customer Success Analyst, Sales, and Product teams. Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Management & Executive Engagement Take full ownership of the client journey following initial setup post-onboarding, ensuring clients across all tiers embed AlliedOffsets into their core workflows and derive maximum value. Build deep, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers, sustainability leads, and corporate strategists across high-value enterprise accounts. Adapt your approach dynamically across a diverse client base, providing high-touch strategic consulting for enterprise clients while leveraging efficient workflows for smaller or mid-tier accounts. Deeply map each client’s evolving position in the carbon market (e.g., tracking transitions toward Article 6 compliance, market shifts, or corporate net-zero targets) to align platform solutions directly with their commercial strategy. Account Growth, Expansion & Cross-Selling Identify and execute opportunities to cross-sell additional datasets, features, and platform capabilities based on client growth trajectory and emerging market trends. Leverage existing client relationships to multi-thread, actively using strong rapport with primary contacts to secure warm intros to other departments, regional hubs, and business units. Capitalize on client commercial triggers and market shifts (e.g., funding rounds, corporate expansions, team growth, or transitions into other parts of the market such as Article 6 and net-zero frameworks) to proactively expand AlliedOffsets’ footprint as their needs and budget scale. Uncover cross-selling opportunities by developing a clear understanding of AlliedOffsets’ full suite of data products and matching them to client use cases and pain points. Execute strategic account reviews with key stakeholders to demonstrate platform value, review usage ROI, and uncover future growth initiatives. Commercial & Renewal Management Take full end-to-end ownership of client renewals, driving commercial retention conversations, managing renewal timelines, and proactively resolving blockers to secure timely contract renewals. Prioritise time and resource allocation by evaluating account contract values, term lengths, revenue tiers, engagement metrics, and growth potential. Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, using client usage analytics, impact stories, and feedback to structure proposals and defend AlliedOffsets’ value with procurement and executive stakeholders. Collaborate with the Commercial & Business Development Manager on complex enterprise deals, aligning on strategy when a renewal involves major cross-selling, structural account changes, or high-value negotiations. Support internal revenue forecasting, keeping HubSpot updated with accurate lifecycle stages, contract end dates, and early signals of churn risk or growth potential. Quarterly reporting of projected churn/ retention for the upcoming quarter. Maintain a deep understanding of AlliedOffsets’ commercial model, platform pricing, and market trends to confidently navigate commercial discussions and competitive shifts. Product, Market Intelligence & Network Engagement Act as the internal client advocate by gathering and synthesising structured client feedback to directly shape AlliedOffsets’ product and data roadmaps. Maintain deep market domain expertise across the voluntary carbon market, corporate net-zero targets, and policy shifts to bring valuable market context to every client conversation. Represent AlliedOffsets at industry events and conferences where relevant, networking with prospective and current stakeholders to build platform visibility and stay on top of market trends. Lead in-person client engagement, visiting key high-value accounts where appropriate to build executive relationships, conduct strategic reviews, and gather qualitative insights. Share cross-market insights internally, bringing learnings from client meetings and industry events back to Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to align our platform with market demand. Operations, Analytics & CRM Excellence Partner with the Customer Success Analyst to monitor usage trends via Metabase dashboards, using data to flag at-risk accounts early and identify power users. Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene in HubSpot, keeping stakeholder mapping, account notes, deal stages, and retention forecasts up to date across the entire pipeline and client base. Adopt AI and automation tools to streamline day-to-day administrative tasks (e.g., call summaries, CRM updates, query categorization, and FAQ content) to scale your efficiency. Refine and document internal CS workflows, collaborating across teams to improve onboarding, renewal checklists, and handoff processes. Requirements 2+ years’ experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Client Partnerships or a similar customer-facing commercial role. Knowledge or prior experience of sustainability, ESG, climate tech, carbon markets or environmental policy. Experience within SaaS, data, market intelligence or subscription-based businesses. Proven track record of managing and growing B2B client accounts, including renewals and upselling/cross-selling. Experience managing enterprise or strategic accounts. Strong commercial acumen with confidence leading pricing, renewal and contract discussions. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities. Analytical mindset with experience using customer data and usage metrics to inform account strategy.
